ecoENERGY Evaluations: Prices

As of January 28, 2012, the ecoENERGY Retrofit - Homes program has closed registrations for new and past participants. The deadline to obtain a post-retrofit evaluation is now June 30, 2012. See Your Four Steps for details.

Note: REEP Kitchener Home Energy Grants are still available on a first-come, first-served basis for insulation and air sealing in Kitchener homes built before 1970, but they are going fast!

We Charge No Tax

All of REEPs services are tax-free, as we are a registered charitable organization.

Pre-Retrofit Evaluation Cost:¹

The province of Ontario provides a rebate of up to 50% off the cost of the initial evaluation, to a maximum of $150

Waterloo, Woolwich, Wellesley, Cambridge and North Dumfries

Upfront cost: $375
Provincial rebate: $150 (sent by mail automatically 2 to 4 months later)
Net cost after rebate: $225

Kitchener

Upfront cost: $315 (thanks to $60 contribution by Kitchener Utilities)
Provincial rebate: $150 (sent by mail automatically 2 to 4 months later)
Net cost after rebate: $165

Wilmot

Upfront cost: $315 (thanks to $60 contribution by Kitchener-Wilmot Hydro)
Provincial rebate: $150 (sent by mail automatically 2 to 4 months later)

Cancellations:

Appointments cancelled less than 24 business hours before the evaluation will be subject to a $75 rescheduling fee.

Additional Info:

¹An additional square footage fee is charged for homes larger than 3,000 square feet, excluding the basement.

²An additional fee is charged if an addition has been added to the home since the pre-retrofit evaluation. A file update fee may apply to past participants who have made changes to their home between the date of the last post-retrofit evaluation and June 6, 2011.
